Dr. Jan Weber attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where he received his Bachelor of Arts and Medical Degrees. His training continued at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, where he completed an Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine and a Cardiology Fellowship at the Likoff Cardiovascular Institute. He was then appointed Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and became Director of Non-Invasive Cardiology at the Graduate Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. Thereafter, he served as Director of the Cardiac Ultrasound Laboratory at the Philadelphia Heart Institute at Presbyterian Medical Center, Philadelphia, until 1991. That year, he was appointed Chief of the Division of Cardiology at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, Camden, NJ (Lourdes) and was subsequently named Medical Director of the New Jersey Heart Institute at Lourdes, positions he continues to hold today. He served as Chairman of the Institutional Review Board at Lourdes for over 14 years and actively participated in research during that time. He established the first Hospital-based ECP program in New Jersey in 2000 and earned an MBA degree with highest honors in Health and Medical Administration from St. Joseph's University, Philadelphia, PA, in 2003. During 2006, his activities were focused on development of the Heart Failure Center at Lourdes, which now provides comprehensive care for those with all degrees of cardiac dysfunction. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, and the American Heart Association. |
